Klir includes AI features. One explains your transactions in plain English. Another, when you ask for it, reads a note you have written and suggests an action you can take on it, such as turning an amount you wrote into a spending limit. A third writes the short summary in the weekly email, describing figures Klir has already worked out. Note the following limits:
- Informational only. AI explanations are for general understanding. They are not financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice, and they are not a recommendation to do anything.
- It can be wrong. The explanations are generated automatically by a third-party AI model (Anthropic) and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Always verify against your actual bank statement.
- Do not rely on it for decisions. Do not make financial decisions based only on an AI explanation. For advice about your specific situation, talk to a qualified professional.
- Read-only, and it never acts on its own. The AI can read and describe your transactions, and any note you have switched on for it. It cannot move money. Where it suggests an action, nothing happens until you choose it, and any amount it proposes must be one you wrote yourself.
- Labeled. We mark AI-generated content in the app, so you can always tell what a model wrote.
